Jurassic World Evolution 2: Complete Edition is a game that has been a long time coming for Nintendo Switch 2 owners. The game's core gameplay loop, which involves creating and maintaining dinosaur habitats, operational facilities, and guest amenities, remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. However, the addition of more biomes, customisation options, buildings, and dinosaurs, particularly aquatic species, makes the experience feel fresh and engaging. The game's four main modes - campaign, challenge, sandbox, and Chaos Theory - offer a variety of gameplay experiences, but it's the latter that truly shines. Chaos Theory mode allows players to relive iconic moments from the Jurassic Park and World films, providing a unique and challenging experience that sets it apart from the main campaign. While the core campaign mode may feel like a glorified tutorial with a weak and forgettable story, the Chaos Theory mode is a highlight for longtime fans of the series. The Switch 2 port of the game is generally smooth, with great-looking dinosaurs and environments up close. However, the lack of Joy-Con 2 mouse controls is a missed opportunity, as it could have enhanced the game's already impressive portability. Despite this, the game remains a high-quality package with hundreds of hours of gameplay, making it a must-play for Jurassic Park and city management fans.
